What is Blood Alcohol Content (BAC)

How long before i'm sober? Do women and men process alcohol at the same speed? When can I drive? How many calories did I drink?
These are some common questions we can help you answer.

Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) refers to the percent of alcohol in a person's blood stream. It's also commonly referred to as blood alcohol concentration or blood alcohol level.

A BAC of 0.10 (0.10% or one tenth of one percent) means that there are 0.10 g of alcohol for every 100 ml of blood.

A person’s liver can process about one standard drink an hour. A standard drink contains 0.6 ounces of pure alcohol.
However, a person’s BAC level is not only affected by how much alcohol is consumed but by other factors such as an individual’s weight, gender, pattern of drinking, and genetics.

Disclaimer

This BAC calculator is for informational purposes, the result is only an estimation of your BAC level and the result should not be taken for granted.

There is multiple factors that weigh in when you determine a persons BAC levels such as age, gender, weight, metabolism, medications, food and body fat.

Due to all these different factors and variables it's unfortunately impossible for us to give you an exact answer.

So do not use this estimation as an indication for when you are ready to drive. It's always best to not drive at all the day after drinking!

If you really need an exact measurement you will need to use a breathalyzer or a blood test.
