Best food sources for each macro

“Best” here means nutrient-dense, repeatable foods — not a ranking of moral purity. Protein, carbohydrate and fat all have staple sources that make hitting a macro target easier.
Protein staples
Meat, fish, eggs, dairy, soy, legumes. Build the day around these, then fill remaining calories.
Carbohydrate staples
Potatoes, rice, oats, fruit, legumes, whole grains. They are fuel and fibre, not a character test.
Fat staples
Olive and other unsaturated oils, nuts, seeds, oily fish, avocado, dairy fat if you use it. Weigh oils.
