The calculator uses calendar arithmetic (including leap years) rather than a 365-day average. Inclusive versus exclusive counting can differ by one day — check which option you selected.
Yes. 29 February is included when it exists. Age in years can still feel unintuitive for leap-day birthdays; legal age rules differ by jurisdiction.
Yes. Add or subtract days, weeks or months depending on the mode. Month addition follows calendar rules (for example 31 January plus one month is not 31 February).
Months have 28–31 days. Adding “one month” is a calendar operation, not 30 × 24 hours. If you need a fixed number of hours, add days instead.
The default count is calendar days, including weekends and holidays. Business-day rules are country- and contract-specific and are not applied here.

Date-only math is timezone-agnostic. If you convert from timestamps, use a single timezone consistently to avoid an off-by-one around midnight.

Calendar math is not business-day math
This tool counts civil calendar days and applies leap-year rules. It does not know public holidays, court sitting days or “business days excluding Saturdays.” If a contract defines a deadline, that definition wins.
Adding months is a calendar operation: 31 January plus one month is not 31 February. If you need a fixed number of 24-hour periods, add days instead of months.
Inclusive versus exclusive counts
Whether the start date is included changes the answer by one. Event planners, payroll and paediatric age forms disagree with each other. Read the option you selected before you email someone a number.
